Executive reputation: build and protect what can be found under your name
An executive’s reputation now plays out online: in search results for their name, on their LinkedIn profile, in the digital press and in AI answers. Cabinet 86 supports executives, founders, public officials and public figures to build that reputation when it does not yet exist and protect it when it is under threat, in France and in Africa.
Why an executive’s reputation is a company asset
Before signing a contract, investing, hiring or publishing an article, people search for the executive’s name. What they find in thirty seconds shapes the trust placed in the whole organisation. A missing profile, a confusing results page or an old article left unanswered cost opportunities without anyone telling you.
Conversely, an executive with a clear, consistent online presence becomes the organisation’s first spokesperson, and often its best channel.

What we do for executives
Six services, from reputation audits to responding to attacks, in France and in Africa.
Personal reputation audit
A complete review of what Google, Bing, LinkedIn, the press and AI engines show under your name, in French and in English. Identification of risky content, problematic namesakes and blind spots. Delivered in ten days.
Personal search strategy
Building the reference content that should fill the first page of results: biography page, professional profiles, interviews, op-eds, speaker profiles. Aligning names, titles and photos across all platforms. Monthly tracking of rankings.
LinkedIn profile and public speaking
Profile audit and rewrite, definition of topics, editorial line, calendar and writing of posts with the executive. We write in your voice, never in your place on substance.
Name monitoring and alerts
Continuous monitoring of your name and your positions: mentions, impersonation, fake accounts, hostile content. Immediate alert when a signal appears, a weekly note the rest of the time.
Responding to attacks and crisis management
A smear campaign, a hostile article, a growing controversy: we assess the threat, measure its real reach, decide with you whether to respond, and prepare the response. We work in coordination with your lawyers when a right of reply, delisting or legal action is involved. When the attack is coordinated (fake accounts, synchronised amplifiers, mirror sites), we apply our method for countering information manipulation. In an open crisis, our crisis communication team for Africa takes over.
Wikipedia and reference sources
Review of Wikipedia and Wikidata pages and of the reference databases that feed Google and AI engines. Reporting factual errors and suggesting sources, strictly within the rules of these platforms.
Our approach: discretion and long-term work
An executive’s reputation is not repaired in a week and is not built in fits and starts. We work over time, with a single point of contact, complete confidentiality and a simple rule: everything we publish in your name must be something you can stand behind, in front of a journalist as in front of a board.
We never promise to make content disappear. We build reference content, correct what is false through legitimate channels and measure the results.
Every assignment builds on our strategic monitoring; when the executive needs to speak, it extends into training and media training and LinkedIn content creation.
Who for
Heads of groups and subsidiaries, founders and entrepreneurs, partners in investment funds and firms, public officials, lawyers and regulated professions, high-profile individuals, in France, in Africa and for executives who move between the two.
Examples of assignments
Head of a pan-African telecoms operator. Audit of his LinkedIn profile and recommendations to establish his voice on digital issues in Africa: topics, formats, rhythm, first posts.
Partners in an investment firm. Aligning the partners’ online presence and dealing with an old media history that still occupied the top search results.
France head of a transport group. Long-term writing of his LinkedIn posts, in line with the group’s agenda and his public appearances.
Start-up co-founder after a change of company. An audit of what Google and AI engines showed under his name, then a search correction plan so that his new venture would come first.
Frequently asked questions
Can you get an article or negative content removed?
Rarely, and never by magic. False, defamatory or outdated content can be the subject of a right of reply, a delisting request or legal action, with your lawyers. For everything else, the only lasting method is to build reference content that takes its place and puts the episode in a wider context.
How long does it take to see an effect on Google?
The first movements on a results page usually appear three to six months after the reference content goes online. AI engines, which rely on recent sources, often react faster.
Does an executive really need to post on LinkedIn?
Not necessarily every week, but yes: a complete profile and a few posts a quarter are enough to fill the first page of results for your name and give journalists, partners and AI engines a reliable source on who you are.
Does ghostwriting show?
Not when it is done well. We start from your ideas, your words and your actual positions, gathered in interviews. We shape them; we do not substitute our thinking for yours. You approve every post.
Do you work with lawyers?
Yes, yours or partner law firms in France and in Africa, whenever a situation involves press law, the right to be forgotten or data protection. Communication and law work together; one does not replace the other.
